Banjarbaru, September 3, 2023 - In the spirit of concern and solidarity, thousands of recipients of the Karya Salemba Empat Scholarship (KSE) along with donors, the Indonesian Red Cross, the general public, and volunteers, gathered in the "Real Action Blood Donation Festival" which took place on September 3, 2023 at the Student Cooperative of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), Banjarbaru.
The event, which started at 09.00 WITA, is part of a simultaneous Real Blood Donation Action held at 35 Partner State Universities (PTNs) of KSE throughout Indonesia. This event is not just about collecting blood, but also a real manifestation of the spirit of togetherness and high social concern among the recipients of the KSE Scholarship.
Participants from various backgrounds and communities at ULM enthusiastically participated in this event. In a spirited and joyful atmosphere, they voluntarily donated their blood in the hope of helping fellow human beings in need of blood in various medical conditions.
"We are very proud to see the high enthusiasm and spirit of concern from the recipients of the KSE Scholarship, donors, and the general public present today. The Real Action Blood Donation Festival is a clear example that togetherness and solidarity can create a positive impact in helping others," said one of the event organizers.
In addition to donating blood, this event also provided an opportunity for participants to attend sessions on the importance of regular blood donation, the blood processing process, and its benefits for blood recipients. The volunteers and medical personnel present provided the best service and ensured that the blood donation process went smoothly and safely.
The coordinator of this event emphasized the importance of active community participation in blood donation activities. "By donating blood, we give others a chance to live, such as patients with chronic illnesses, accident victims, as well as pregnant women and newborn babies. This is a real act of humanity and compassion," he stated.
The Real Action Blood Donation Festival reflects the spirit of concern and togetherness upheld by the recipients of the KSE Scholarship, as well as all donors, volunteers, and the general public who participated. Hopefully, this event will serve as inspiration for the wider community to continue supporting and participating in beneficial social activities for fellow human beings.
